NEW ADOPTION I know it has been a long time since I have posted. This wheel arrived yesterday from the Netherlands. I have yet to name her. She is carved all over just like a fine Western saddle. She has a makers stamp on the bottom of the table but it has faded with age. All I can make out is Norway. Must be that she was made in Norway. I thought Russ would blow his top when he saw her but instead he fell in love with her and helped me finish putting her together. When he goes to work tonight I hope to sit down and give her a spin. Many thanks to my new friends in the Netherlands, Hans and Gerrie. They sell many beautiful spinning and weaving tools on ebay. They are very easy to work with and do an exceptional job of packing. This is the fourth item I have received from them and I have been thrilled with them all. I also have to thank Hans as I borrowed his great picture of my wheel. It is raining out here so I couldn't take it out for picture taking.

This is some of the group doing the Tush Push. I tried to post a clip with music of the Watermelon Crawl but I'm not doing something right as it won't post. Posted by Picasa
Fun Afternoon
Yesterday I went to a Country Music Fest all by myself. Russ is now working 3rd. shift so he sleeps all day. I really enjoyed myself. I met a group of girls who dance regularly. I miss my old group from Grand Rapids. The last 10 years have flown by and I am ashamed to admit that I have forgotten most of the dances. Use it or loose it has come true for me.

New Spinning Tools

Yesterday we went to where we work and picked up my custom made wool combs. Dave who we work with made these beautiful wool combs for me. I emailed Peter and Jacqie Teal and Peter offered advice along the way. I emailed them the picture of the finished combs and they gave them an A1 rating. Dave did an excellent job.
